After stopping to witness a gruesome and fatal highway accident on a remote road, the couple soon realizes they didn't leave the crash scene alone. A malicious, shape-shifting demonic entity known as "the Passenger" has hitched a ride, turning their nomadic dream into an escalating psychological and physical nightmare. As travelers around the country continue to go missing under identical circumstances, Maddie and Tyler must race against time to survive and uncover a way to banish the entity before it claims them both.
