We Bought a 128-Year-Old House in Croatia’s Mountain Village

4 Views4 days ago

We bought a 128-year-old house in the mountains of Croatia and decided to bring it back to life. Built in the late 1890s, the house has 23 rooms and 654 m² of space. It once held a village shop and generations of everyday life. Today, it has one working tap, no bathroom, parts of the house have no electricity, and almost everything needs attention. In this first episode, we take you through the house as we found it, from its old rooms and forgotten details to the overgrown yard enclosed by rock cliffs. This is the beginning of The Malnar: our journey to understand this old house, preserve what makes it special, and slowly turn it into a home again. #OldHouse #Croatia #HouseRestoration
