Perhaps you have a family member, friend, colleague, loved one, or individuals who does not yet know Jesus. Maybe you have prayed for them for years and wondered, “Lord, when will they come to You?” Don’t lose heart. Your prayers are not wasted! The Bible reveals that spiritual blindness can keep people from seeing the truth of the Gospel. Satan seeks to obscure their understanding so that the light of Christ will not shine into their hearts. Therefore, our battle is not against people. We must not pray against them in anger or treat them as enemies. Instead, we stand before God on their behalf. Jesus said: “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man.” — Mark 3:27 In the authority of Christ, pray that every influence that blinds their understanding will be broken. Pray for clarity where there is confusion, conviction where there is resistance, and light where there is darkness. Declare that the glorious Gospel of Christ will shine brightly into their hearts. Then pray for divine laborers. “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” — Matthew 9:38 Your loved one may not listen to you, but God knows exactly whom they will hear.
