Salieri Stand-Up: Mozart in Chocolate
SALIERI STAND-UP is an original music theatre production that combines stand-up comedy, concert performance and drama. Antonio Salieri himself steps onto the stage as narrator, eyewitness and ironic commentator, using wit and remarkable insight to challenge some of the greatest myths in music history. Through humour and honesty, he tells a surprisingly contemporary story of artistic rivalry, ambition and the realities of the eighteenth-century music industry.
Masterpieces by Mozart, Gluck and Salieri are interwoven with witty monologues, musical humour and modern references, creating an entertaining theatrical journey between past and present. The programme features highlights from Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro, Orfeo ed Euridice, together with rarely performed works by Salieri.
The production is accompanied by the internationally acclaimed KYIV SOLOISTS Orchestra, renowned for its performances on major European concert stages.
For performances in Korea, the title role of Salieri may be performed by a distinguished Korean actor, based on the original libretto by Anastasiia Maslakova, creating an authentic connection with local audiences while preserving the production’s original artistic vision.
