Sunspray Summer Resort is a permanent Story Quest set in the Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a new island area in Natlan introduced during Version 5.8. Originally released as the flagship summer event of 2025, this heartwarming chapter follows Bennett, Venti, Mualani, Chasca, and the Traveler as they embark on a vibrant summer vacation filled with spray-painting competitions, musical performances, and unexpected revelations about Bennett's past. The four-act story begins with the group arriving at the resort for a carefree holiday, participating in various challenges across Guiztili Ridge, Colorful Cliffs, and Wavy Bay—including a memorable spray-painting duel with Bennett at the "Airborne Asha". However, the vacation takes a dramatic turn when mysterious blurry photographs lead the group to discover a domain entrance. Inside the Abyssal domain—a simulation of the legendary Mare Jivari—Bennett becomes separated from his companions and confronts a telepathic voice from the Abyss that taunts him about cheating death. The group, protected by Venti's wind dome, finds Bennett surrounded by a rainbow shield and two Asha spirits, who are revealed to be his birth parents, Macani and Aroni—former members of the famed Tecpatl's Flintblades adventure team. In an emotional reunion, Bennett's parents explain that they lost their memories upon becoming Asha after sacrificing themselves to save him in the Mare Jivari years ago. Venti later reveals the deeper truth: 500 years prior, he had sealed the corrupted Mare Jivari in another timeline, becoming the "Windless Land," and used the power granted by the Ruler of Time, Istaroth, to bring back the trapped souls, allowing Bennett this final meeting with his parents. The quest concludes with a grand festival at Tete Isle where Bennett performs on stage with Mavuika and the Natlan characters, and a bittersweet farewell as his parents finally find peace. Bennett ultimately decides to return to Mondstadt.
