They say the world outside is where we're meant to grow, but to me, it often feels too loud. There are moments when I just want to stay in the quiet, mending the cracks within myself without the pressure to be 'this' or 'that.' Just to be allowed to be me.
Then I remembered that old dream. A presence that was always calming, someone who let me simply exist. Drawing her in black and white isn't just a hobby—it’s my way of bringing her from the dream world into reality. Because within these pencil strokes, I find a place where no one can disturb me.
'I know you see me in this form,' she seemed to say. 'It’s okay. Because when the world is too cruel to you, I will always be here.'
As the year comes to an end, I’m not just finishing a drawing; I’m finding my peace. The world might not get any quieter next year, but as long as I have this space, I’ll be alright.
