I had always lived trying not to stand out, while she stood out more than anyone. One day, my classmate Toosaka Ayane found out that I wrote poetry. Because she suffered from developmental dyslexia, which made reading and writing difficult, I wrote the lyrics, and she sang them. It was something only I could do and something only she could do.
A song just for the two of us. A place just for the two of us. A sign known only to the two of us.
That was the beginning of our brief ten years together.
