THE WATER MAGICIAN ｜EP. 4 ｜ Episode 4 : Eclipses & Akuma Ryo begins his journey as a newly minted adventurer, attending basic lessons and participating in his first dungeon expedition. Accompanied by fellow rookies, he gains practical insight into dungeon mechanics—like teleportation anomalies between floors and anti-monster barricades intended to protect the town. After a successful but routine outing, Ryo visits the library to continue his studies. However, his scholar’s tranquility is shattered by a solar eclipse and the sudden appearance of Leonore, a horned member of the Akuma race who targets him for having earned the Fairy King’s favor. The ensuing battle escalates into a fierce magical duel. Protected by a magical robe gifted by the Fairy King, Ryo turns the tide with a powerful, atomized boiling-water spell. Though momentarily at the brink, he manages to fend off Leonore, who vanishes as the eclipse ends. The episode closes with Ryo quietly reflecting back at his dorm, unsettled by the strange encounter.
