Cue from the score of an aborted Colombian film, "El amarre". Composed, arranged, performed, mixed & mastered by Scott Sadowsky. The second of our protagonist's delirious idealized fantasies, in which her identity shifts to that of a queen being courted by a traveling king. Here, she is calm and in control, and is quite certain of who she is. She shows the king the Hall of Invisible People, a part of her castle that commemorates those who have been forgotten, and is shocked to find out that he has no name at all - he is simply known as "The King". The cue here, a stylized Chilean cueca, starts off in a jaunty fashion, reflecting the wonder of a new friend exploring a novel place. But when the queen asks what the king's name is, the chords, melody and harmonies all quickly descend disconcertingly, reflecting the king's discomfort at the question. _____ Tema del score de una película colombiana que no prosperó, "El amarre". Composición, arreglo, realización musical, mezclado y masterización: Scott Sadowsky Ésta es la segunda de las delirantes fantasías idealizadas de nuestra protagonista, en la que su identidad se transforma en la de una reina cortejada por un rey viajero. Aquí, está serena y en control, y tiene absoluta certeza de quién es. Le muestra al rey el Salón de las Personas Invisibles, una parte de su castillo que conmemora a quienes han sido olvidados, y se sorprende al descubrir que él no tiene nombre alguno: simplemente se le conoce como "El Rey". La música de esta escena, una cueca chilena estilizada, comienza con un aire animado, reflejando el asombro de un nuevo amigo que explora un lugar desconocido. Pero cuando la reina le pregunta al rey cuál es su nombre, los acordes, la melodía y las armonías descienden rápidamente y con desconcierto, reflejando la incomodidad del rey ante la pregunta, ya que sabe que no puede responderla adecuadamente. _____ Copyright (c) 2025 by Scott Sadowsky.
