Cue 02 - "Chapter 1 Title Card" (Score of aborted independent Colombian film)

Cue from the score of an aborted independent Colombian film, "El amarre". Composed, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Scott Sadowsky. The film is divided up into four sections or "chapters", and each begins with a card like this. The challenge when composing these cues was to musically interpret the mood and foreshadow the coming events... in about eight seconds. Actually, a bit less, as there had to be about a second of silence at the end. This cue is based on the exact same theme heard in the previous one (https://youtu.be/dHBLgsADgB4), which is a motif that occurs at certain points throughout the film. Here, however, the melody and arrangement are euphonious and joyful, rather than ominous and threatening. This arrangement makes use of a light string section, various horns, and even a harp, which combine to create a (hopefully) hopeful, even happy, feeling in the listener. _____ Tema del score musical de una película independiente colombiana que no prosperó, "El amarre". La película está dividida en cuatro secciones o "capítulos", y cada una de ellas comienza con una tarjeta como la que se ve aquí. El desafío al componer estos temas fue comunicar el tono y anticipar los eventos que venían en cada sección... en menos de ocho segundos. Este tema se basa en la misma melodía que el tema anterior (https://youtu.be/dHBLgsADgB4), que es un motivo que ocurre en distintos momentos a lo largo del filme. Sin embargo, este tema es eufónico e incluso alegre, en vez de oscuro y amenazante. El arreglo de este tema utiliza una pequeña sección de cuerdas, varios bronces y hasta un arpa, que se combinan para (¡ojalá!) provocar un sentimiento de esperanza, e incluso alegría, en el espectador. _____ Copyright (c) 2025 by Scott Sadowsky.
