The North Star (1943)

The story of Ukrainian villagers and their resistance against Nazi invaders. Beginning in the summer of 1941, the Nazis begin to attack the Soviet Union and the village of North Star. Peaceful lives are interrupted by falling bombs. A German doctor uses the children of the town unethically. Many of the Ukrainian men become guerrilla fighters. Directed by Lewis Milestone. Written by Lillian Hellman. An edited version of the film was also known as 'Armored Attack!' upon release.
