“Leo” is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Seven Screen Studio. The film stars Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, and other talented actors. The story revolves around Parthiban (played by Vijay), an animal rescuer and café owner in Theog, Himachal Pradesh. He lives with his wife Sathya (Trisha), son Siddharth (“Siddhu”), and daughter Mathi (“Chintu”). One day, Parthi tames a spotted hyena threatening the townsfolk with the help of his son Siddhu. He adopts the hyena after calming it down. When robbers attack his café, Parthi defends his family. His actions draw attention from criminals who believe he’s a former gangster. As the truth about his identity unfolds, Parthi faces violent pursuits and must shield his loved ones. The film is inspired by David Cronenberg’s movie which is “A History of Violence”.
