A look into the final day of singer-songwriter and Motown pioneer Marvin Gaye’s life, his tumultuous relationship with his father and his struggle with drugs. On the final day of his life, Marvin was depressed, paranoid and sheltering in his parents’ home, having abandoned his latest tour. His dependency on drugs and subsequent tensions in the house was at an all time high. Soon, his lifelong strained relationship with his father exploded into a violent confrontation that ended with his father shooting him twice. This documentary explores circumstances and events leading to his tragic death.
