It's been 10 years since the war between the Iga Ninja Clan and the Kouga Ninja Clan ended. The two groups are believed to have since made peace, ending the animosity that once existed between them. Hachiro Kouga and Hibiki Iga, heirs to their respective bloodlines, seem to have the perfect conditions for love to blossom, but not everyone is happy with the outcome of their long-standing battle. The anecdote of the final battle between Gennosuke Koga and Oboro Iga spreads, and Tadanaga Tokugawa, represented by Koga, is dissatisfied. As tensions between the two clans escalate again, a political climate is brewing that, like previous generations, threatens to separate the two doomed lovers.
