The Gambler's Vow

Shen Yun, heir of the Qianmen gambling lineage, hides on campus and swears off all gambling tricks. When his roommate is trapped by an underground gambling scheme and saddled with loan shark debt, Shen steps in to expose the fraud, alarming his fellow disciple Lei Xiaotian, who murdered their master and now controls the gambling dens. Lei takes hostages to force Shen into a mahjong tournament to seize the secret manual. Teaming up with undercover police officer Lin Xiaoyu, Shen loses his hearing but still relies on fingertip touch and insight into human nature. In the final match, he sees through a magnetic cheating scheme and wins decisively, helping the police take down the entire gang. In the end, he becomes an anti-gambling advisor, honoring his master's dying wish to use skill for good and reject gambling.
