Hole—a decaying, lawless slum where the strong devour the weak and death is routine—lives up to its name. Cut off from law and morality, it serves as a playground for magic users, who reign at the top of the hierarchy. To them, the residents of Hole are nothing more than expendable test subjects—killed, disfigured, and experimented on without hesitation, their bodies filling the hospital day after day.
With unrestricted access to this hellish place and little opposition to their power, magic users seem nearly untouchable—except to a rare few. One of them is Caiman, a man with a reptile’s head. Armed with a pair of bayonets and immune to magic, he relentlessly hunts magic users in search of the truth behind his curse and lost memories. Haunted by nightmares and driven by instinct, he fights to reclaim his former self.
At his side is Nikaidou, owner of the Hungry Bug, whose support—and cooking—keeps him going as he carves his path through chaos.
