Firefly Wedding

In the Meiji era, women were regarded as little more than assets of their families… Satoko Kirigaya, was born into privilege and gifted with exceptional beauty. Yet she has been told that she has only a short time left to live. Her greatest desire is to marry into another distinguished family to fulfill her father’s wish for her happiness. But one night, she is abducted as part of a sinister plot. With her life hanging in the balance, Satoko comes face-to-face with Shinpei Goto, an assassin who happens to be at the scene. In a desperate attempt to save herself, she blurts out a lie: “Let’s get married. If you’re with me, you’ll have everything you could ever want.” Convinced that Satoko is his destined partner, Shinpei becomes obsessively devoted to her.
