How Your Phone Knows EXACTLY Where You Are 🛰️ (It's Just Clocks)

Your phone finds you with time, not magic. At least 24 GPS satellites orbit 20,200 km overhead, each carrying an atomic clock. Every signal is stamped with the exact time it left. Your phone measures how long each signal took to arrive, and since radio waves travel at the speed of light, that delay becomes a distance. Three satellites narrow you to a spot; a fourth corrects your phone's cheap clock. That is trilateration, and it places you within about five metres, updated many times a second.
