In 2009, six university students
Nur, Widya, Ayu, Bima, Anton, and Wahyu
undertook their community service program (KKN) in a remote village in East Java. Little did they know, however, that the village they had chosen was no ordinary place. Pak Prabu, the village head, had warned them not to cross the forbidden gate that marked the boundary between the village and a forest known as Tapak Tilas.
