Pretending to be BATMAN can actually help kids get things done. Researchers gave 180 young kids a boring computer task. But there was a catch: they could stop and play a video game whenever they wanted. Some kids were told to pretend they were a hardworking character, like Batman or Dora the Explorer. And that group spent the most time working instead of gaming.
