Sajah bint Al-Harith: The Woman Who Declared Herself a Prophet

Sajah bint al-Harith was a woman in 7th-century Arabia who claimed to be a prophet. But what led her to make such an extraordinary claim? And why did people gather around her? In this historical documentary, we explore the story of Sajah bint al-Harith — her claim to prophethood, the people who followed her, her encounter with Musaylima, and what happened to her after the events of Yamama. Rather than focusing only on the famous battles of the Ridda period, this episode examines the lesser-known historical details surrounding Sajah and the circumstances that helped her claim gain attention. Where historical sources differ or remain uncertain, those differences are presented honestly. Director: Hammad Gillani Channel: Qadeemi Duniya
