🌍 Welcome to History Beyond Time.
On August 26, 2026, a devastating mountain disaster struck Nepal’s Rasuwa region near the northern border with China.
A powerful cascade of water, ice, rock and debris moved through the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river systems, devastating infrastructure and communities. The disaster also reached Gyirong on the Chinese side of the border.
But what actually happened high in the Himalayas?
In this documentary, we examine the available evidence, the possible mountain-triggered cascade, the destruction, the human impact, the rescue of survivors, and the misinformation that spread online after the disaster.
Early scientific assessments suggest that an ice-and-rock avalanche may have entered the Lhende River and triggered the devastating downstream flood. The exact initiation mechanism remains under investigation.
This documentary follows the evidence—not rumors or conspiracy theories.
Some scenes are illustrative or reconstructed where original incident footage was unavailable. These visuals are clearly identified and are not presented as authentic footage of the August 26 disaster.
🕊️ Our deepest condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy.
