The Camino of St Joseph | Sydney Catholic Pilgrimage | Irish Folk Version In the early hours of Saturday, 22 August, Sydney heard a very different sound from the usual Friday-night revellers: the quiet murmur of the Rosary and the footsteps of more than 1,500 men walking through the darkness behind a statue of St Joseph. This song tells the story of the Camino of St Joseph, an annual overnight pilgrimage organised by Maximus Men's Ministry within the Life, Marriage and Family team of the Sydney Centre for Evangelisation. The pilgrimage began at St Patrick's Church Hill and travelled more than 20 kilometres through Sydney, visiting seven historic churches before arriving at St Mary's Cathedral after sunrise.
