Perched on the slopes of the Aventine Hill overlooking the Circus Maximus, the Rome Rose Garden (Roseto Comunale) showcases over 1,100 varieties of roses from around the world. Originally serving as a Jewish cemetery until 1934, the site was transformed into a municipal garden in 1950, featuring footpaths laid out in the shape of a Menorah to honor its historical roots. It welcomes visitors for free during its vibrant spring bloom from late April through mid-June.
