Upon arriving at Puzhal Central Prison, he personally inspected and evaluated the prisoners' cells, the quality of food served to them, and the prison hospital. Following an inspection that lasted nearly an hour, he held special discussions with the prison officials. As he emerged after completing the inspection, a massive crowd enthusiastically greeted the Chief Minister with slogans. After his prison visit, he went directly to the Puzhal Police Station. He verified whether the CCTV cameras in the station were functioning properly. The Chief Minister also inquired with officials about the facilities provided for the public visiting the station to submit complaints, and ensured whether proper action was being taken on the received grievances.
