1. They have a second set of jawsâlike Alien!
Moray eels have pharyngeal jaws hidden in their throat. When they catch prey, these jaws shoot forward to grab and pull the food in. Super creepy⊠and cool!
2. They donât really biteâthey drag!
Instead of chewing or snapping, moray eels latch on and pull prey backward into their throat using their double jaws.
3. They can breathe while hiding.
