RM explained on the official BTS blog, "I've always wanted to make a song about bicycles. It's been three years since "Mono.' was released, and I'm tired of preparing for the next series without a promise, so I've decided to make a bike song with a good excuse—FESTA—and release it during that time!" This song, released on the 6th of June, 2021, was produced, written, and arranged by RM and John Eun. Artist Sungsic Moon created the cover artwork for it at the request of RM who always admired his works.
