Kokoro Yamihara (Mitsuki Takahata) is an ace reporter for a weekly magazine. She has been in a romantic relationship with Police Officer Toramatsu Asada (Kei Tanaka) for one year. They begin to think about marriage, but they both have a secret that they have not revealed. Their secrets prevents the two from moving forwards with their relationship. Kokoro Yamihara decides to tell her secret to him. Around this time, a grotesque serial murder case take place in the town where they live.
