1st Test - Day 1 - Highlights - The Ashes - 16th June 2023

England won the toss and elected to bat first in the first test match. England continued with their aggressive approach and was able to score 393 runs, but lost 8 wickets in the process. England then decided to declare and made the Australian openers play a challenging four overs. Joe Root was the star of the day with an unbeaten 118 runs to his name.
