Along the way, he learned the importance of soft skills, eliminating bad habits, and leading by example. Richard emphasizes staying disciplined, focused, and resilient in business, and how embracing adversity helped him build a strong foundation for his career and life. His story is a powerful reminder of the value of passion, perseverance, and leadership.
In this featured episode of the Brock The Rock Talks Podcast, host Brock Zevan sits down with Richard Blank, the CEO of Costa Rica’s Call Center (CCC).
The conversation focuses on how Blank built a major nearshore BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) operation from the ground up by leveraging emotional intelligence, language skills, and a unique approach to workplace culture.
The Leap of Faith: Originally from Northeast Philadelphia, Blank graduated with a degree in Communication and Spanish from the University of Arizona. At age 27, he took a one-in-a-million opportunity to relocate to San José, Costa Rica, to train bilingual telemarketers for an established company. He fell in love with the culture and never looked back.
