Why did madrasas, once hubs of science, philosophy, medicine, and statecraft, become restricted solely to traditional religious education? Where did the deep division between religious and worldly education originate? From the historic Nizamiyya Madrasa of Baghdad and Ottoman medical madrasas to Bengal’s Sonargaon academy, Islamic institutions historically produced great scholars, physicians, mathematicians, and diplomats like Ibn Khaldun. So what changed during the colonial era? In this episode of Search of Mystery, we explore the rise, transformation, and current crisis of madrasa education in Bangladesh. We analyze the impact of British colonial policy, the de-linking of worldly sciences, economic marginalization, and potential modern reform models like Gontor (Indonesia) and Al-Azhar (Egypt). | The Forgotten History of Madrasa Education ▼ ▽ Visit: https://searchofmyster... ▶ HASHTAGS #SearchOfMystery #Bangla #Documentary #infotainment #QawmiMadrasa #Deoband #EducationReform #bangladocumentary *Disclaimer: Engaging with Complexity* This video explores potentially controversial viewpoints for educational purposes, aiming to stimulate thought and discussion.
