After losing her position as an operations manager, Olivia Carter moves into her fiancé Ethan Cole’s condo. Ethan promises to support her until she finds another job—but interview after interview ends in silence or rejection.
As Olivia’s savings disappear and her confidence collapses, Ethan becomes increasingly controlling. He monitors every dollar she spends, pressures her to sell the debt-free house her father left her, and insists that working for his company may be her only option.
Then hiring manager Claire Morgan finds Olivia outside a café and asks why she rejected a ninety-thousand-dollar job offer.
Olivia never received it.
The refusal was sent from Olivia’s own email account only twelve minutes after the offer arrived. When she investigates her login history, she discovers that someone accessed her account after every interview.
Before Olivia can confront Ethan, he offers her the chief operating officer position she always wanted. But the contract contains a dangerous financial trap involving a forged signature, a six-hundred-thousand-dollar loan, and her father’s house as collateral.
What begins as job offer sabotage becomes an emotional animated story about career sabotage, financial abuse, relationship betrayal, a controlling fiancé, identity theft, forged documents, romance fraud, manipulation, and satisfying justice.
Can Olivia expose Ethan before he takes her career, her home, and her entire future? Or has he already trapped another woman before her?
