More than 2,200 years ago, China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, prepared an extraordinary world for the afterlife.
Beneath the earth near his vast mausoleum, thousands of life-size Terracotta Warriors were buried alongside horses, chariots, weapons, officials, and other figures.
