The film follows married couple Patrick and Abigail, who travel to a new-age retreat in New Mexico hoping to find healing after a traumatic event. But as Abigail becomes increasingly drawn to the retreat's enigmatic leader, Patrick begins questioning whether the group's spiritual practices are truly helping, or hiding something far more sinister.
Pendulum marks the feature directorial debut of Mark Heyman, the co-writer of Black Swan, and is produced by Darren Aronofsky. The cast also includes Jacki Weaver, Anna Deavere Smith and Jena Malone.
Pendulum arrives in theaters January 1, 2027.
