Esteban Laureano Maradona: The Doctor of the Poor

Esteban Laureano Maradona was the doctor who helped an Indigenous young woman in Estanislao del Campo, Formosa, in 1935. His train stopped on the way to Buenos Aires, and he saved her during childbirth. He became known as “the doctor of the poor.”
