"Today's Kira-kun" (also known as "Closest Love to Heaven") is a Japanese high school romance film about the unlikely friendship between Ninon Okamura, a socially awkward girl who finds solace in her pet parrot, and Yuiji Kira, a popular but terminally ill boy. Ninon learns of Kira's heart condition, which gives him only a year to live, and she promises to support him, leading to a deep connection that changes both of their lives.
