Cue from the score of an aborted independent Colombian film, "El amarre". Composed, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Scott Sadowsky. This scene continues where the one shown with Cue 24 left off. Our protagonist is being chased down a hill toward the ocean by the man she cast a dark love spell on. The cue, in 5/8 time, revolves around an off-kilter rhythm, marked by the timpani, that never lets the listener feel at ease. It plays a series of diminished fifths that drop down to their root notes, while at the same time rising as a group every two measures. Growling bass trombones sustain the root notes played by the timpani, adding menace and gravitas, and in the final two bars of the cue a low string section comes in to reinforce them. The rhythm is accentuated subtly by a shaker and a triangle. The downward flight of the protagonists is emphasized by a flute and clarinet duo, along with a harp and vibraphone duo, which play descending arpeggios. At the same time, the chords these arpeggios are based on rise along with the timpani, ratcheting up the tension. At the high end, a trumpet and xylophone combo and a high strings section play long, shrill descending notes that contrast with the bass trombone and timpani's ascent. Screeching string slides fill out the first four bars, adding tension, before going wild in the last bar. Finally, the charango plays a slowed-down, climbing version of "ocean motif" heard in Cues 16 and 18, with a snare roll and hit marking the end of the cue. _____ Tema del score musical de una película independiente colombiana que no prosperó, "El amarre".
