Cue from the score of an aborted independent Colombian film. Composed, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Scott Sadowsky. The final encounter is being set up. Our protagonist, having fully devalued the man she desired so badly she used black magic to turn him into her plaything, now wants nothing at all to do with him. Not even a conversation at a bus stop. So she tells him to go away and leaves. But he follows her, first down the sidewalk and then across the highway. This cue, in 4/4, rests on a martial timpani beat that is doubled by threatening staccato bass trombones, except for the odd trombone run. An ominous low string section plays long, drawn-out notes that largely mirror the bass trombone part (hard right), while a mid string section plays dissonant chord swells (hard left). The pace picks up, mirroring the picture, and danger is signalled by screeching high string clusters begin to crescendo toward the end of each section of the cue, culminating on the following 1-beat with various banging body and string slaps. At the halfway mark, a snare joins in to accent the rhythm, which grows faster and faster. Simultaneously, a strongly overblown flute begins doubling the low strings several octaves further up, and then takes a separate melodic path. The piece culminates in a dizzying array of high-speed 16th note runs by the flute, bass trombones and timpani, a cloud of percussion, and an ominous bass part played by the low strings and orchestral chord swells. _____ Tema del score musical de una película independiente colombiana que no prosperó.
