Cue from the score of an aborted independent Colombian film, "El amarre". Composed, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Scott Sadowsky. This title card marks the beginning of increasingly dark turns in the film, and the cue reflects that. Though apparently simple, it consists of no less than eight instruments. Using a 6/8 meter, dark low strings play a slow, warlike pattern in unison with a timpani, which is filled out by dissonant orchestral chord swells. A horn section plays a somewhat forlorn two-voice part in the left channel, while a violin section plays a more ambiguous two-voice part in the right channel, though both end the cue with great dissonance. The theremin plays the main melody, and accents are provided by a grating string swell and a trumpet and xylophone combo. The astute listener might notice that I slipped the violin part of this cue into the chorus of "La achacada". _____ Tema del score musical de una película independiente colombiana que no prosperó, "El amarre". Composición, arreglo, realización musical, mezclado y masterización: Scott Sadowsky Este tema marca el comienzo de giros cada vez más oscuros en la película, y la música refleja ese vuelco. Aunque parece ser relativamente sencillo, este tema consta de nada menos que ocho instrumentos. Utilizando el compás de 6/8, las cuerdas graves tocan un patrón lento y bélico al unísono con el tímpano, y los dos se complementan con acordes orquestales disonantes que van en crescendo. Una sección de bronces interpreta una parte de dos voces algo melancólica en el canal izquierdo, mientras que una sección de violines toca una dual más ambigua en el canal derecho, aunque ambas secciones concluyen la pieza con gran disonancia.
