Randolph Beer (Brooklyn NY), new January 2025 arcade tour, full 4K walkthrough

4 ViewsJan 26, 2025

Today, we're back in Brooklyn, NYC, and we're checking out Randolph Beer, a craft brewery, bar, restaurant, and arcade located in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, right near the Williamsburg Bridge. They're located on the second floor of the Randolph building (hence the name). Upon entering, hanging a left will take you to the brewpub where you can grab burgers, tacos, salads, and more snacks. If you make a right, you'll end up in the game room, which is dominated by two massive featherbowling lanes; basically, like curling, but played on a curved artificial grass surface, and no brooms necessary. The arcade portion of the game room has a mixture of classic retro games such as Ms. Pac-Man, NBA Jam, Bubble Bobble, and the perennial barcade favorite Tapper. Surprisingly, this is one of the few brewcades I've come across that actually has a rhythm game in it, and it's a DDR 2nd Mix machine, no less! There's also a sizable selection of pinball along another one of the walls, mostly made up of modern Sterns such as Godzilla, Avengers, and The Mandalorian, but there's also Cactus Canyon and the Super Mario Bros. pinball machine making appearances. The vibes in this place are immaculate, and it's awesome to hang out. However, the pricing is expensive even by New York standards. Each game of pinball is 2 tokens, or 4 games for 6 tokens. Sounds fine, right? No token machines out on the floor -- you have to go to the bar to get tokens. I rocked up to the bar and asked for five bucks worth. I was handed five tokens. Yep, each token is one buck, making each game of pinball effectively two bucks a pop. There's plenty of other places in the city that still have it at $1 per play, so seeing this initially turned me off from coming back, but after playing, I noticed that the replay values were set so low I could easily get two or three games out of each token I popped in. Especially on Super Mario Bros pinball, which I ended up leaving four credits on for the next player. Ultimately
