The ship sank in the Baijie Strait, about 71 miles southeast of Shanghai, killing over 1,500 people. The film The Crossing 2 is part two of a two-part historical epic directed by John Woo. The film also tells the stories of three couples and their love lives in 1940s Shanghai and Taiwan.
