An underground drug dealer is dying, and he's investigating, so he stops Detroit Police Chief Nick Tillis, who was fired 18 months earlier when he strayed into a pregnant woman. Tillis teams up with Henry Oak, a friend of the Dead's drug dealer and police officer, and eventually an internal affairs officer. As a result of tracking down the leads, the informants are dead, Nick's wife is unhappy about him being back on the street, and Henry is protecting the dead Henry. James Nick re-reads the movie, thinks about it, watches Oak Denny Style, and joins later. He wants to end the investigation into the incident, and Nick and Henry stay on, and come into contact with some evidence in the car bodies. What exactly happened; Will Nick ever know?
