As his friends from Punjab struggle through the immigration process, a former soldier guides them on a risky journey to enter the UK without permission. Four friends from a village in Punjab share the same dream: to go to England. Their problem is that they don't have visas nor tickets. A soldier promises to take them to their dream land. Dunki is a funny and touching story about a dangerous journey, boundaries, friendship, homesickness and a love that conquers all. Today in London, Manu escapes from the hospital with the dream of returning to India. She met lawyer Puru Patel, who told her it was impossible, which is when she asked him to connect with Hardy, whom she last saw 25 years ago. Manu sought to connect with Hardy and asked him to meet in Dubai. She is accompanied by her two friends Baggu and Balli, who have the same dream. Flashbacks reveal that Manu, Baggu and Balli lived in a small town in Punjab and wanted to work in London to support their families. .When Hardy came to their village to return the tape recorder to Manu's brother who had saved his life but found that he had died. Hardy decides to stay in the village and help the trio. They start learning English from Geetu Gulati, where they meet Suki, who wants to go to London to get back her lover who was abused by her husband. During the visa interview, only Balli managed to free himself and reach London. This does not go well with Gulati's abuser Suki, who then decides to send her to London illegally through Dunki. But Suki committed suicide after learning that her lover did the same because he couldn't get a visa. Hardy then decides that no matter what, he, Manu and Baggu will go to London via Dunki. But when they arrive, they find a different London than they ever imagined.
