Ha-Sodot (The Secrets, 2007)

Noemi, the studious, devoutly religious daughter of a prominent rabbi, convinces her father to postpone her marriage for a year so that she might study at a Jewish seminary for women in the ancient Kabalistic seat of Safe. (The intelligent young daughter of an ultra-Orthodox Rabbi receives permission to delay her arranged marriage in order to study at a yeshiva in the mystical northern Israeli town of Safed. While there she meets a rebellious student from France from whom she couldn’t be more different. The women bond as they try to help a mysterious neighbor through her terminal illness with a series of secret rituals.)
