NANA - a tale of us, is a socio-political nagamese film from Nagaland, Northeast India, which was released only on DVD in 2017. It was later censored on 2019 but didn't had theatrical release. The film is directed by Tiakumzuk Aier and Produced by Aoyimti Baptist Church Youth Ministry, Dimapur, Nagaland and stars Zhokhoi Chuzu, Mengu Suokhrie, Watipongla Kichu, Bokavi Swu, Imnasenla Aier, Ariensa Longchar and Imkongchuba Longchar in lead. The entire production was locally done and most of the actors were non actors. It was the first fiction film from Nagaland to go out of the country to screened at Edinburgh Festival of Indian Films and Documentaries, Edinburgh, Scotland, 2017. Director Tiakumzuk Aier also won Golden Calton Best Director at the festival. It was also screened at Kolkata International Film Festival 2018 and Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival, 2019. It recently won Best Film under Northeast Category at Prag Cine Awards, 2021. The film tells of community, love and forgiveness through the story of a family living in rural Nagaland.
