The story starts with two childhood friends-Khyapa and Chingri who reach their adolescence and so desire for love and sexual fantasies. Chingri is crushing upon a girl named Meghna and dreams to make her his girlfriend someday.Chingri often shares about his feeling with his best friend Khyapa and Khyapa promises him to help him out.But,Chingri is left in shocked when one day in party he sees both Meghna and his best friend Khyapa making out together. Broken in love and cheated by his own best friend,Chingri ends his 15 years old friendship with Khayapa. Meghna was unaware about some truth of Khyapa,after discovering them she too breaks up with Khyapa. Khyapa gets suffocated of the guilt of loosing his 15 years old friend due to his own mistake and doing wrong with Meghna,seeks for inner peace.Khyapa then sets his spiritual journey of soul searching and finding the purpose of life. KHAYAPA basically highlights the fact that at the end of the day inner peace is everything above the illusionary aspects of materialistic world.It shows the journey of a youth who was a trapped in finding peace in his illusionary desires but understood the real meaning of peace in self-exploration. Life often gets messed up with the competion to achieve the illusionary desires but at the end life gets in order through the inner healing.
