I absolutely loved the pilot episode! I haven't seen such a well-made first episode in so long that it honestly felt like I struck gold, that being said that's where the excitement ended for me personally, I watched the second episode and got bored and tried watching the others but frankly hated the direction the show was taking. I did skim through them though and found out that even though I was disappointed with the direction of the show, it still had interesting themes and storylines, for instance I loved the dynamic between the brothers, I thought it was a cool idea that Ki-ho was able to start afresh but to do so he had to change his identity and keep his brother in the dark, I thought that added layers, but I disliked how it all unfolded, neat idea, but weak execution, again all my opinions feel free to disagree. I really liked the young cast, they were definitely the key factors that drew me in from the ghetto, they were absolutely phenomenal, the acting of young Ki-ho and Seo Mok-ha were so good, and I immediately started rooting for their happiness, and I think the big reason why I couldn't get into the rest of the show was because the older cast didn't really feel or fit into the shoes of the younger cast, and I had already gotten attached to the actors from the pilot that it was a bit jarring and disappointing to now follow new people, and the story also shifted a lot... Like episode 1 was about young abused trauma victims trying to escape there respective troubled homes, so after Ki-ho figures out that Mok-ha is also a victim of abuse he decides to try and help her at great cost of himself, this was a great plot that drew me in, but after that the story isn't so much about trauma, and abuse, and whatnot, I mean it is but not as much, and not at the same level as the pilot. Anyways, those are my unpopular thoughts on the show.
