It was unceremoniously canceled, presumably new boss David Zaslav looking for more tax write-offs (see also Batgirl). In November 2023, it was announced the special would hit digital store fronts in a matter of days; a very rare reversal for Warner-Discovery projects that have been unceremoniously canceled and unreleased in the 2020s. It would later be added to MAX in the holiday season of 2024.
