The Forbidden Play The story of a family that moves into a home situated next to a graveyard. The film starts innocently with a playful exchange between a parent and child about lizards' tails growing back. However, the child's curiosity leads him to chant a strange spell in the yard, which sets off a dangerous chain of events. Hiroko Kurasawa, a video director and former colleague of the family's father, Naoto Ihara, visits their home and witnesses the strange occurrences.
