Today marks a historic day in Philippine media as Eat Bulaga! officially marked its return to its original station, CNN Philippines, formerly known as RPN which the show originally premiered on July 30, 1979. TV5 signed a deal with Nine Media Corporation, allowing the Saturday edition of the show to be broadcast on CNN Philippines starting today. This comes a day after the noontime show used the tagline "Eat Bulaga!" after the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) canceled the trademark registration of TAPE Inc. for Eat Bulaga! and ruled in favor of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon. During its first minutes, all hosts wore the Eat Bulaga! t-shirt using the 1980-2003 logo. "Muli ring nagbabalik ang "Eat Bulaga!" sa channel kung saan kami unang nag-umpisa!", de Leon said.
